iMandarinPod.com is run by a team in Tianjin, China, which consists of several richly-experienced teachers who have been teaching Chinese as a foreign language for the past couple of years. Besides teaching Chinese in a classroom on a daily basis, we realize that podcasting is another approach to learning a foreign language.

There are a lot of ways to learn Chinese, and most people take Chinese classes, which is very important. We do provide class-based lessons in Tianjin, China, and we welcome you to join them. However, not everybody has an opportunity to take a class. For example, you may not be able to travel, or it is too expensive, or there are no local Chinese classes, just to name a few.

iMandarinPod.com is designed to help people to improve their Chinese. In each podcast, we will introduce a topic about Chinese culture or what is happening today in China. We are not teaching a pure language (yes, we do explain vocabulary words, phrases, sentences and grammar points in each podcast); we are teaching Chinese by introducing Chinese culture in real circumstances; we are teaching you how to speak and how to think in your daily life as a native Chinese does.

Podcasts are really amazing. They are convenient, flexible and portable. With an iPod or any other MP3 player, you are able to learn Chinese whenever and wherever; in addition, you are able to learn Chinese at your own pace.

We will provide at least 3 podcasts every week and will continue to enhance our services to serve different people at different levels. Besides podcasts, we also provide private lessons or group lessons (2-4 people), which are on demand services.
